Bourbon County Aged Stout

Goose Island “Bourbon County” Stout, Aged in Bourbon Barrels!

This is perhaps one of the richest stouts I have ever tasted. The perfect bottle to share with a friend or two. A “beer” bottle with a cork, signifies its distinction from other beers/stouts. 13% alcohol content does make this one a dangerous one to drink if you’re not careful! While the note on the bottle indicates that this stout may be aged up to 5 years in a bourbon barrel/cask, my experience with tasting this after only 1 year in the cask showed me that you definitely do not need to wait for the full 5 years!
